Accessibility

Last updated 20 August 2026. This covers this site and the hiring process behind it.

Ask us for an adjustment

If any part of applying or interviewing is harder than it needs to be, write to careers@circuvent.com and say what would help. You do not need a diagnosis, a letter, or a reason. Asking has no bearing on how your application is assessed, and the people deciding on it are not told that you asked.

Things people commonly ask for, all of which we can do: extra time on a task, questions sent in advance, an interview by phone rather than video, a break part-way through, a room reachable without stairs, materials in a larger size or a different format, or a support worker or interpreter present.

What this site does

These are implemented and can be checked by anybody reading the source, rather than claimed generally:

  • A skip link to the main content is the first thing keyboard focus reaches on every page.
  • The role list, the filters and the application form are ordinary HTML controls with real labels, so they work with a keyboard alone and announce themselves to a screen reader. Filters with no visible label carry one for assistive technology.
  • The number of matching roles is announced when it changes, so somebody who cannot see the list update is still told the filter did something.
  • The application tabs in your portal follow the ARIA tabs pattern: arrow keys move between them and the selected one is announced as selected.
  • Every page declares its language, headings run in order, and job facts are marked up as description lists rather than as styled text.
  • If your system asks for reduced motion, animation is switched off — including the spinners, which need an explicit exception because setting an animation to almost-zero duration does not stop one that repeats forever.
  • Focus is visible wherever you can put it, including on dark backgrounds.

What has not been checked

No independent audit has been carried out, and no formal conformance claim is made against WCAG 2.2 or EN 301 549. Saying otherwise would be inventing a result.

Specifically, we do not yet know how well these work in practice:

  • The registration form is long and has several steps. It has not been tested end to end with a screen reader, and it is the part of this site most likely to be difficult.
  • Attaching a CV uses a file picker with a drag-and-drop area. The picker itself is standard and keyboard-operable; the drag-and-drop is a second route, not the only one.
  • Colour contrast has been chosen deliberately but not measured across every state of every control.
  • Parts of the hiring process — booking an interview, taking an assessment, signing an offer — are served by our recruitment system rather than by this site, and have not been reviewed to the same standard.

If something here does not work

Tell us at careers@circuvent.com. Say what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you were using — the browser, and any screen reader or other assistive software. That last part is usually what makes a problem reproducible.

If it is stopping you applying, say so and we will take your application another way rather than make you wait for a fix.

Equal opportunity

Circuvent Technologies considers applicants on what the role actually needs. We do not make hiring decisions on the basis of disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, race, colour, religion, caste, national or social origin, or any other characteristic unrelated to doing the job.

Where the register asks for something that could be read as one of those — a date of birth for statutory records, a photograph for an identity document — the privacy notice says why it is asked for and how long it is kept.
